Dr. OZKAN

Asistant Professor of Orthodontics

Vice Dean

  • Liknedin

Dr. Ozkan, is an orthodontic clinician-scientist and assistant professor. His work focuses on AI-enabled diagnosis and planning, quality measurement in orthodontic services, patient-reported outcomes, and safety. He leads interdisciplinary projects spanning study design, data analysis, and scientific writing, with ongoing publications and peer-review activities in international journals. Clinically, he specializes in clear aligner biomechanics and complex malocclusions, applying measurable quality metrics to every case. His goal is to translate rigorous, evidence-based and ethical approaches into practical benefits for students, colleagues, and patients.

Research Interests

My research lies at the intersection of AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment planning, quality measurement, and patient safety in orthodontics. I study clear aligner biomechanics with data-driven methods and build automated decision-support pipelines from cephalometric analysis to 3D model assessment. I design quality metrics that track PRO/PROM outcomes, complication rates, and workflow safety to make clinical care measurable and improvable. Methodologically, I work with statistical modeling and machine learning across prospective/retrospective cohorts and multi-center collaborations.
